A Motorcycle Buffet

Honda v4 concept bike

Ok, I was accused of being a slacker because I hadn't posted a new article in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd better get on it right away.  So, I'm offering a smorgasbord of moto-treats and eye candy this week while I get my act together (and get the bike waxed).

First off:  Kicking it at the Isle of Man TT... I would recommend you stop by their web site and take a lap with John McGuinness.  They have a 1:23 minute video where you get to lap with John on helmet cam.  It really is very exciting.

Or, you might want to dream about trying it yourself on the Ferrari v4 concept bike.

Second:  If you purchase a new 2010 Agusta Brutale 990R or 1090RR, you can receive a free trip to the Agusta factory in Italy.  Oh, and tickets to the Milan Motorcycle show.

Third:  Just in case you thought you knew it all, how about some motorcycle terms like: Yard Shark, Ape Hangers, Pavement Surfing, or even PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome...Yeah, what were you thinking?).

One of my favs was SQUID - "Acronym for Stupidly Quick, Underdressed, Imminantly Dead. Reckless and inexperienced motorcycle riders who ride without proper gear and beyond their abilities, endangering themselves and others.

Click here to expand your vocabulary further.

A functional electric motorcycle for moto-treehuggers.  Who'd have thought.

Fourth:  If you would like to take your bestest buddy pal (dog) for a ride with you... there is a whole group of bikers that does.  Check them out at http://www.bikerdogsmc.org/

Finally to finish holding you over until next week, I'm leaving you with one of my favorite cartoons (Freakazoid).  A motorcycle classic:  Bear on a Motorcycle.

And last, but not least (ok, I found one more thing that just had to be seen), a for those that really can't take their hands off their bikes, there is the faucet:

Hey, maybe slacker weeks aren't so bad.... I'm kind of liking that Honda v4, and it was a lot of fun to look around.  Until next time...dream big (with lots of chrome).

Please leave a comment, it will shoot me an e-mail and then I can "allow" it. This keeps spam down (the evil web sort - not the canned meat variety). Thanks.
